Fushia ...

(click on thumbnails to see larger images) Decided that the turquoise gown being based on what caught many eyes, and the Mid-Winter outfit being my particular fantasy, I should have a third gown that was more of a classic; hourglass silhouette, clean yet feminine lines, evening sparkles ... so this is my vividly colored version of a classic evening gown.

    Complete outfit consists of:

  • pure Dupioni silk corset top & skirt; the silk is a mix of fushia and purple threads giving it an almost iridescent sheen. The top laces up with a silver ribbon (if you find other ribbon that you would like to use, like a fushia silk ribbon that would be fine, that's what I wanted to use but wasn't able to get any in time). The skirt has a vintage rhinestone "buckle". *Note: skirt can and probably should be ironed, light steam iron is fine & the top is very tight and would fit best on a regular bodied doll, doesn't fit so well on one with an AR/articulated body.
  • Shoes made of the same silk as the skirt and top, using Tonner shoe bases.
  • Tonner rhinestone earrings & bracelet.
